Another Witness Goes on about Syria and the Big "A"

Gimme a break. But this time, first ever, there was despair in his voice as if he didn't believe it any longer. There was no anticipation or joy at the prospect. Are you hearing that telling desperation in thier voice when you hear from JW's that still talk to you? Its so sad really.

I was mentioning to a long time witness about how I had traveled Europe alone in the 1980's for six months with a Eurorail pass and hitchhiking. She said, "you can't do that today, people are so bad now!" I disagreed saying that individuals are still generally kind, its just the possibility of a terrorist event that is now a problem but is still rather rare. She just swallowed her tounge and said, "oh".

For me it is their total lack of community responsibility. They avoid anything that can be done in any positive sense towards thier fellow man unless it benefits them, ie: building projects etc. The children of JW's are generally socially stunted and not in tune with the reality of dealing with "worldly" people. Years are lost to "Pioneering" and droning meetings. Free the people now!

I miss the catharsis of verbalizing my thoughts that it provided. I tend to meditate on subjects of importance to me and not ask for intercessions or forgivness. I like having my mind and thoughts freed up from the addiction to "having the strength to do all things by means of" a fairytale. I take full responsibility for my success and failure. Try it.

Its' their call I believe. Anyone can give a funeral talk by the way, they simply need permission from the body of elders to have it in the KH. But out of the Kingdom Hall they may do as they please, it just wouldn't be a congregation supported or sanctioned event if the body decided it was innappropriate to have it in the Hall.

what is amazing is how many have turned their back on the king or was it they had no faith in the first place and the spiritual food they received did not help them stand upon a rock.

All words and nothing more. This is your Jesus you are selling based on the word of men who never met him. If you had to face your own frailties without a saftey net named Jesus you would crumble. Its ok to be human, you dont need a mediator for your own brain. Relax and think for yourself for once and not follow some BS dogma created so long ago.

Because Jesus is the reflection of those who wrote about him and was just another Jew in a tumutous time, I could give a fig about what you represent him to be. He was probably a good man but thats about it. When your eyes are opened to the TTATT you often realize the source of all this crap was man and a series of books written by men and voted into the "inspired" record by more men, the Bible. No thanks. I dont think Jesus will be too upset with me that I dont see him as still alive since he chooses to hide himeslf.

some of you do not believe in god.
some are not sure.. i was told recently by a friend to pray to god for help and he would comfort me.. my first impulse is to pray.
